Sports Injury Clinic

Our therapists are able to help with any joint, muscle, bone, ligament, tendon or nerve related injuries to any part of the body. Your first session will involve a thorough assessment to find out exactly what structure has been injured. During that same session appropriate treatment will be given. Treatment techniques that are used include gentle joint manipulation, massage, electrotherapy and stretching. It is also important to help yourselves by doing regular home exercises. We will guide you through this by teaching you specific rehabilitation exercises for your injury, and then giving you diagrams and explanations with sets/reps on a sheet for you to take away so you don’t forget!

We apply these therapies in a progressive manner in an effort to relieve pain, restore optimal function and maintain health. Our goal is to improve your daily life, whether that means your performance on the field or court or you ability to lift your child or get in and out of your car.

We aim to resolve your injury within 6 sessions although most clients have fully recovered within 3. The rehabilitation exercises are designed to prevent your injury reoccurring in future, so you don’t have to go through the same ordeal again and again!

Sports massage should play an important role in the life of an active person whether they are injured or not. Massage can help to loosen and revitalize your muscles, improve recovery time after training and prevent injury. However, receiving a sports massage can often be frustrating because it isn’t to a suitable standard. That’s why we offer a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with your treatment. Although our therapists have many hours experience so we are sure you will not be disappointed.

Depending on your needs the massage will include techniques such as trigger point, myofascial release, stripping, deep petrissage and frictions. These techniques are designed to manipulate soft tissue in ways that are not always possible with stretching alone. If you find that you service your car more often than your body it’s probably time that you need a massage!
